Nancy Ann Arnold Redus Obituary

Doniphan- Nancy Ann Redus, 91, of Gatewood died Wednesday, May 25,2005 at her residence. Mrs. Redus was born May 22, 1914 in Billings, Mont. She was a member of the New Home Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, sewing, quilt making, watching soap operas and horse training.

She first marred Harry Vance and later married Everett Redus, both preceding her in death.

Survivors include six sons, Clarence Redus of Wappapello, Bennie Redus of Fairdealing, Johnny Redus of Gatewood, Joseph Redus of Doniphan, Truman Redus of Sharon, Wis. and Buster Redus of Gatewood; three daughters, Mary Ann Karlberg-Yock of Milwaukee, Wis., Etta Pullen of Poplar Bluff and Virgie Redus of Gatewood; one stepson, Tony Redus of Pacifica; one stepdaughter, Leona Hudson of Doniphan; 41 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Melvin Arnold and Suzanne White Arnold; three brothers; six sisters; three stepchildren, Raney Redus, Pete Redus, and Maudie Dodd; and three children, Hershell Vance, Gene Vance and Virgil Redus.

Visitation will be from 6-8p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the New Home Baptist Church with Joe McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the New Home Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care, 607 Billington, Kennett, MO 63857

Opal Pauline Brown Redus Obituary - Apr 8, 2004

This was the wife of Clarence Thomas. Redus, who was the son of Everett Sherman and Nancy Ann Arnold Redus.

Opal Redus, 72, of Wappapello died Thursday, April 8, 2004 at Three Rivers Healthcare-North in Poplar Bluff. She was a homemaker and was born Dec. 10, 1931, in Coldwater. Mrs. Redus was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed quilting, crafts, shopping and taking pictures.

On Dec. 5, 1949, she was married to Clarence T. Redus in Pocahontas, Ark., and he survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Marilyn Banks of Wright City and Joanna Linson of St. Peters; three sons, Larry Redus of Lake of the Ozarks, Dirke Redus of Jefferson City and Steve Redus of Belle; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; her mother, Hazel (Waddle) Brown of Malden; five brothers, Bobby Brown of Campbell, Mike Brown of Dexter, Rick Brown of Malden, Gerald Brown of Lawton, Okla., and Jimmy Brown of Phoenix, Ariz.; and six sisters, Levieda Burke of Arnold, Charlotte Clifton of Bloomsdale, Sharon Butler of Poplar Bluff, Carolyn Bedwell of Lawton, Okla, Sandra Brown of Malden and Betty Cunningham of Wappapello; and a special friend, Sandy Brown Cunningham of Wappapello.

Visitation was Saturday evening at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. There will be a visitation at 11 a.m. Monday at the New Home Church in Gatewood with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Joe McDonald officiating. Burial will be in the New Home Cemetery in Gatewood.

Services for Lillian K. Redus will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Terpening & Son Chapel.

Redus, 98, of 320 N. Eastern, Moore, Okla., passed away Jan. 24, at a nursing home in Moore, Okla. Burial will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Park.

Visitation at Terpening & Son Mortuary will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Redus was born Dec. 22, 1904, in Peru, Kan., to William Smith and Mary (Bascom) Smith. She married Charles E. Rinehart on June 4, 1949, in Ft. Worth, Texas. He preceded her in death April 26, 1975. Her second husband was J. D. Redus, whom she married Jan. 6, 1983, in Artesia. He preceded her in death Aug. 21, 1986. She came to Artesia in 1956 from Lovington and was a homemaker and a member of Eastern Star and First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: one sister, Grace L. Young and husband Carroll of Oklahoma City, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one brother, two sisters and a daughter.

FLORENCE - June Redus, 73, Florence, died Tuesday, May 23, 2006. Mrs. Redus was born June Johnson on July 2, 1932, in McClave, Colo. She was a homemaker and had various jobs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard "Pete," in 1985; and a daughter, Vondell.

Survivors include two sons, Victor Moore of Norman, Okla., and Virgil Moore of Barstow, Calif.; two brothers, Roger Johnson and Bob Johnson, both of Florence; four sisters, Ruth Whitcomb of Hamilton, Mont., Cora Lee Gould of Glendore, Calif., Faye Price of Waco, Texas, and Anne Powell of West Covina, Calif.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence. There will be no visitation. The casket will be open at the cemetery. Zeiner Funeral Home, 104 W. Fifth, Florence 66851, is handling arrangements.

FLORENCE - June Redus, 73, died May 23, 2006, at St. Luke Hospital, Marion.

She was born July 2, 1932, in McLave, Colo., the daughter of Leonard and Opal Jones Johnson. A resident of Florence for 20 years, she was a homemaker and had worked various jobs. On April 9, 1966, she married Leonard "Pete" Redus in Las Vegas. He died July 11, 1985.

Survivors include: two sons, Victor Moore, Norman, Okla., and Virgil Moore, Barstow, Calif.; two brothers, Roger and Bob Johnson, both of Florence; four sisters, Ruth Whitcomb, Hamilton, Mont., Cora Lee Gould, Glendore, Calif., Faye Price, Waco, Texas, and Anne Powell, West Covina, Calif.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vondell.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence. There will be no visitation prior to the service, but the casket will be open at the cemetery.

George Thomas Redus of Shawnee died Saturday, Feb. 14, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 75. He was born Jan. 14, 1929, in Stillwater, to Samuel and Margaret Goforth Redus. He managed Consumers Service Station for 17 years and owned Nifty Foods convenience store. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was on the board of trustees of the First Assembly of God Church in Shawnee.

He married Allene Carr on May 30, 1964, in Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one son.

He is survived by his wife, Allene Redus, of the home; three sons and two daughters-in-law, George Thomas Jr. and Linda Redus of Stratford, Randy Eugene Redus and fiancee Angela Shirey of Shawnee and Ricky Dean Redus of California; three daughters and one son-in-law, Sandy and Phil Ledford of Kansas, Christy Redus of California and Alice Burnett of Shawnee; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Leamon and Elvira Redus of Stratford, Donnie and Barbara Redus of Piedmont and Jackie and Carmine Redus of Piedmont; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Florine and Junior Monroe of Yukon and Loretta Hannigan of Piedmont; six grandchildren and spouses, Jason Lee Redus of Oklahoma City, Kyle James Redus of Shawnee, Amanda and Jeremy Brook of Austin, Texas, Chelsea Rae Lefler of Fitcher, Texas, Dana and Randy Pike of Skiatook, and Ace and Amy Lockard of Portland, Ore.; six more grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Walter officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

PEARLAND - Alvin Allison Redus, 94, of Pearland, died Monday, April 3, 2006.

He was born Jan. 26, 1912, in Black Creek, to the late James Ware Jr. and Anna Radicke Redus. He worked for Celanese Corp., helped build Dick Kleberg Park and managed Kaufer Park in Loyola Beach. He restored the old icehouse in Kingsville into Connor Museum. He was a retired carpenter, house painter and oil field worker. He was a member of the Church of God.

Survivors: former wife, Lois Cooper of Kingsville; daughters, Beverly Edlin of Riviera and Brenda Hansen of Lake Jackson; sons, Jim Redus of Liberty, Mo., Billy Redus of Cleveland, Texas, Stanley Redus of Kingsville, Clint Redus of Clewiston, Fla., and Michael Redus of Pearland; brothers, Clarence Redus of Honey Island and Alton Redus of Inez; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: second wife, Mildred Redus; three sisters; and five brothers.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.

Services will be 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, the Rev. Rodney Schuler officiating.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas, with Joe McDonald and Terry Miller officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery at Tucker, Mo.

Active pallbearers will be Terry Miller, Scott Miller, Leslie Redus, B.J. Redus, Brad Redus, Jason Redus, Kendal Redus, James Watson, Jeremy Watson and Chris Tyler.

Honorary pallbearers will include Vicki Miller, Sherry Griffin, Shelia Ingram, Angela Redus, Valerie Redus, Marla Beck, Melissa Lane, Pam Brown, Rachel Watson, Carrie Redus and Brandy Redus.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
